Check-in times, what is included, and what to expect when you arrive.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you expect to arrive late, let us know in advance and we will keep things ready for you.
Where exactly is the resort located?
Ymoon Resorts is on Christ Nagar Road in Vellamunda, Wayanad district, Kerala 670731 — in the northern part of Wayanad, within easy reach of Banasura Sagar Dam, Kuruva Island and Thirunelly.
Is Ymoon Resorts a good choice for a family holiday in Wayanad?
Yes — it is one of the things the resort is set up for. There is a dedicated kids' park, both suites have a living space alongside the bedroom so a family is not sharing one room, indoor games for wet afternoons, and security staff on the property around the clock. The swimming pool is in the garden with adult supervision required for children.
Is Ymoon Resorts suitable for a honeymoon?
It is one of the main reasons couples book with us. The Honeymoon Villa sits apart from the rest of the property and has its own indoor plunge pool, a king size bed and a private balcony over the Western Ghats. Vellamunda is in the quieter north of Wayanad, away from the busier stretch around Kalpetta and Vythiri, which is what most couples are actually after. The villa is the only one of its kind here, so it books up early for December and January.
Which room should we book?
If you are a couple wanting privacy, the Honeymoon Villa — it has its own indoor plunge pool and sits apart from the rest of the property. For families or longer stays, either suite: the Mountain View faces the hills and gets mist at dawn, the Valley View looks out over open valley and a lot of sky. All three have a king size bed, a private balcony and air conditioning.
Do all the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?
Yes. Every room is air-conditioned and covered by free high-speed Wi-Fi, and each has a mini fridge, an electric kettle, a wardrobe with luggage rack and an attached bathroom with hot water twenty-four hours a day.
Is there parking at the resort?
Yes, there is on-site parking for guests arriving by car, at no charge.
Which Wayanad attractions are closest to the resort?
Vellamunda is in the north of the district, so Banasura Sagar Dam, Kuruva Island, Thirunelly Temple and the Tholpetty range of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary are the nearest of the well-known sites. Edakkal Caves, Chembra Peak, Soochipara Falls and Pookode Lake are all comfortable days out. Each has its own page on this site with what to expect, and we can help with directions and arranging a driver.
Is breakfast included in the tariff?
Complimentary breakfast is included with select stay plans. The inclusions are confirmed at the time of booking, so please check when you reserve.
When is the best time of year to stay in Wayanad?
December to February is the most popular season — cool, dry and good for trekking and wildlife. The monsoon from June to September is the greenest, with the waterfalls at their fullest and far fewer people about. March to May is mild compared with the plains and the quietest time to visit. Our blog has a fuller season-by-season guide.
What is there to do in the evenings?
A campfire is lit most evenings, and the outdoor BBQ is the other fixture — freshly grilled food under the open sky. Indoor games are available, and the poolside is a pleasant place to sit once the day cools. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not served at the resort.
Is the resort open during the monsoon?
Yes, and it is one of the better times to come if you like the rain. Between June and September Wayanad is at its greenest, the waterfalls are at their fullest and the district is far quieter. Two things to plan around: Kuruva Island closes when the Kabini runs high, and the steeper treks such as Chembra Peak and Pakshipathalam can be slippery or closed. See our monsoon page for what to expect.
Do you serve alcohol at the resort?
No. Alcoholic beverages are not served at Ymoon Resorts, including at the outdoor BBQ.
Is Wi-Fi available in the rooms?
Yes. Free high-speed Wi-Fi covers all rooms and the common areas.
Is there a swimming pool, and what are the rules?
Yes, there is an outdoor pool set in the garden. Please shower before entering, wear proper swimwear, and supervise children at all times. Guests with medical conditions should check with their doctor before swimming.
What is there to do at the resort itself?
Campfire evenings, an outdoor BBQ, guided nature walks through the surrounding tea estates, indoor games and the swimming pool. The kids' park is open through the day.
Is the resort suitable for families with children?
Yes. There is a dedicated kids' park, the suites are sized for families, and the property has security staff on duty around the clock.
